    Where are the sheets made?

We take pride in ethically sourcing and manufacturing our products, so that the people who create our sheets are as happy as the people sleeping on them.

Our French linen bedding is sourced from the flax fields in Normandy, France. Flax is able to grow with minimal water, which makes it highly sustainable and environmentally-friendly. Our long-staple cotton is sourced in the Yellow River Basin, where it thrives best in the moist-yet-stable growing conditions. Both fabrics are then sent to our manufacturer in the booming tourist town of Qingdao, China. We carefully vetted the factory for ethical practices and dedication to fair treatment of the workers, and we are proud of the work they produce and the conditions in which they produce it.

The sheets are made using natural dyes that are compliant with our STeP OEKO-TEX certification, which is the highest level of safety and environmental consciousness that a company can achieve. In order to obtain that certification, companies like ours have to prove that none of their products contain any of several hundred harmful substances. They also must pass a skin-friendly pH test and color fastness test. OEKO-TEX is only awarded to companies whose products have been thoroughly examined and tested for everything under the sun.

In addition, we are GOTS certified, which means that our entire process – from harvesting the raw materials to production to labeling to distribution – is certifiably done in an ethical, environmentally responsible manner.

After they're properly produced and dyed, we tuck them into our signature Primary Goods box and send them on their way to you!
